Beach
Bonaire has a number of beaches, although not comparable to the beaches of Curaçao and Aruba. A small number of resorts located on the sea, have a small private beach. Due to currents and waves, the swimming on the north and east coast is strongly discouraged. There are no nude beaches on Bonaire, topless sunbathing is sometimes tolerated. Dogs are not allowed on the beach. Below is a list of a few famous beaches:

 

 

Boka Slagbaai

A beautiful sheltered beach at the Washington / Slagbaai National Park. The bay is ideal for snorkeling and diving. Access to this park is not free.
 

Lac Bay / Sorobon

There are beaches on the north and south side (Jibe City / Sorobon). It is also an ideal location for windsurfing, kayaking and snorkeling among the mangroves.
 

No Name Beach / Klein Bonaire

From Kralendijk small boats sail to Klein Bonaire. There are no facilities at Klein Bonaire.
 

Bachelor's Beach

In Belnem district, south of the airport, is a very small beach. Ideal for swimming, snorkeling and diving.
 

Pink Beach

Halfway through the district Belnem and the southern tip of Bonaire is Pink Beach. By previous storms dead coral covers the beach.
 

1000 Steps

Near Radio Netherlands Worldwide, along the coastal road from Kralendijk to Gotomeer, is a small beach named 1000 steps. The beach is reached after about 65 steps. For divers the path back seems 1000 steps.
